WELCOME TO OUZERI 'THE CRISIS'
What's an ouzeri? Ouzeri is a type of Greek tavern which serves the famous Greek liquor called ouzo and mezedes which are small dishes.
This installation includes video art, ceramics, prints, furniture, books, textiles and photography, mimicking the traditional look of the typical Greek taverns. By creating this environment, I'm inviting the viewer to stay in the space and experience Greece as we -the younger Greek generation- are experiencing it. At first glance, it seems like the typical 'Greek postcard', but with a second, deeper look the inequalities begin to unravel.
