Mum asked me why I hate Greece so much.
But, truth is, the trees recognize the smell of my hair, the buildings have seen my breasts, the benches know how I laugh, the tiles have felt my tears, the glasses can tell you all my secrets.
Besides, the squares’ stray dogs have walked me home many times.
But there are so many things happening. So many.
The money. The corruption. The police. The men. The violence. The heteronormativity. The power.
This world, a crisis.
And we’re trying.
Lost in all those things happening in our home. Listening to all my friends’ wish to leave it.
We think abroad is better. Now I’m abroad. Is it better?
Capitalism fails me everywhere. Patriarchy chases me everywhere.
