Truth is, we inherit silence, don’t we? I guess I missed the legacy. I always speak. Not only with words, but with text, with images, with film, with performative actions, with other people. But I did inherit my dowry when they married me with the female gender. And along with it, I inherited the patriarchy, the capitalism, the class, the culture and all that silence of the oppressed that I can always hear. You see, the power given by hierarchies annoys me so much. The power of money, the power of the man, the power of language, the power of the cis, white straight man. And all those stereotypes that are created around them. And all that impact on our bodies. And minds. Who do you think you would be if there were no stereotypes to fit in? Do you think you can let your guards down and listen? I’d like you to. Do you think you could even come with us? And maybe participate in our attempts to be freer? If that is possible.
